AGIBOT Claims Top Spot in Global Humanoid Robot Market at CES 2026

Chinese robotics company AGIBOT Innovation Technology Co. made its U.S. debut at CES 2026, announcing its position as the global leader in humanoid robot shipments and market share for 2025, according to Omdia research.

Key Highlights from AGIBOT’s CES Appearance

AGIBOT reported shipping over 5,100 robots in 2025, capturing 39% of the global market share according to Omdia’s data. Founded in 2023, the Shanghai-based company offers a diverse portfolio of humanoid and mobile robots designed for various applications.

Dr. Yao Maoqing, senior vice president at AGIBOT, emphasized the company’s vision of building “an ecosystem of humanoid robots” that can serve across industries and environments. The company’s product lineup includes full-sized humanoids, compact half-sized humanoids, and wheeled robots.

Product Portfolio and Recent Developments

At CES, AGIBOT showcased its updated humanoid model, AGIBOT A2, which was released in December. The company also introduced Genie Sim 3.0, a robot simulation platform powered by NVIDIA Isaac Sim, providing a unified simulation workflow for robotics development.

AGIBOT Research recently unveiled the SOP (scalable online post-training) framework, designed to enable online updates of vision-language-action models across robot fleets, potentially advancing the development of general-purpose robots.

Market Growth and Classification Questions

While AGIBOT claims to have shipped 5,100 robots, a closer examination reveals that this number includes both bipedal humanoids and wheeled mobile manipulators. The company has manufactured 3,588 true bipedal humanoids (A-Series and X-Series) and 1,412 G-Series mobile manipulators.

Omdia’s report did not specify whether it classified dual-armed mobile manipulators as “humanoids” in its market analysis, raising questions about the precise definition being used for market share calculations.

Future Market Projections

According to Omdia, the global humanoid market entered a rapid growth phase in 2025, with approximately 13,000 units shipped worldwide. The research organization projects exponential growth over the next decade, with annual shipments potentially reaching 2.6 million units by 2035.

However, other research firms like Interact Analysis offer more conservative estimates, projecting around 40,000 units by 2032 with a total market revenue of about $2 billion.

Current Commercial Applications

Humanoid robots are currently being deployed across various sectors including reception and hospitality, entertainment, industrial manufacturing, logistics, security, data collection, scientific research, and education.

Despite the impressive growth claims, the significant disparity between market projections from different research firms suggests the humanoid robot market’s trajectory remains uncertain, though clearly on an upward trend.
