A new Chrome extension offers relief from the endless stream of generative AI posts on LinkedIn by replacing them with facts about NBA legend Allen Iverson.
Key Features and Background
Created by creative director Johnross Post and information security researcher Aurora Johnson, the AI2AI extension transforms LinkedIn’s AI-saturated feed into a more enjoyable experience.
The extension overlays colorful information cards about Allen Iverson whenever it detects posts about artificial intelligence, providing users with interesting basketball trivia instead of tech hype.
Why It Was Created
The developers created the extension after feeling professionally obligated to remain active on LinkedIn while becoming increasingly frustrated by the platform’s obsession with generative AI.
As Post explains, “As a freelancer, a lot of my ability to get jobs is based on being on LinkedIn and being engaged,” making the need for a more bearable browsing experience essential.
How It Works
When activated, AI2AI identifies posts about generative AI and replaces them with fact cards about Iverson, such as his All-NBA First Team appearances or his status as one of the shortest NBA MVPs at 6 feet tall.
Users can close these information cards to see who originally posted the AI content, allowing them to still manage their network interactions.
Not the First of Its Kind
Interestingly, this isn’t the first extension to make this specific substitution. An earlier 2025 extension simply replaced every mention of “AI” with “Allen Iverson” in text, though AI2AI takes the concept further with its complete post overlays.
User Experience
For those exhausted by LinkedIn’s AI obsession, the extension offers a refreshing alternative that makes scrolling through professional feeds enjoyable again, replacing technical jargon with entertaining sports trivia.
