A new Chrome extension offers LinkedIn users a refreshing break from the overwhelming flood of generative AI content by replacing these posts with interesting facts about NBA legend Allen Iverson.
The AI Fatigue Solution
The ‘AI2AI’ Chrome extension, developed by creative director Johnross Post and information security researcher Aurora Johnson, transforms LinkedIn’s AI-saturated feed by overlaying colorful fact cards about basketball star Allen Iverson whenever AI-related content appears.
For professionals who need to maintain a LinkedIn presence but feel overwhelmed by the platform’s AI obsession, this extension provides a creative workaround. Instead of reading about enterprise AI workflows, users can learn that Iverson was one of the shortest NBA MVP winners at just 6 feet tall, or discover he made the All-NBA First Team three times.
Why Allen Iverson?
The developers chose ‘The Answer’ (Iverson’s nickname) as the perfect antidote to generative AI fatigue. This isn’t actually the first extension to make this connection – an earlier 2025 tool simply replaced every mention of ‘AI’ with ‘Allen Iverson’ in text. However, the new AI2AI extension takes the concept further by completely overlaying posts with fact cards.
Developer Motivation
The creators were inspired by their own professional need to stay active on LinkedIn while finding the platform’s AI fixation increasingly unbearable. Johnson notes that the extension helps users ‘take back control of your feed and take back control of your experience of the internet.’
User Experience
The extension allows users to close the Iverson fact cards to see who posted the original AI content, giving them the option to engage with the original post if desired. This feature provides flexibility while still offering relief from the constant barrage of AI content.
For many professionals navigating LinkedIn’s increasingly AI-centric environment, this extension offers a playful but practical solution to content fatigue while allowing them to maintain their professional presence on the platform.
